The Full Spectrum

Conery and I managed to address both ends of the cultural spectrum this weekend.

We started out attending the Nova Vista Symphony's performance Saturday night.  http://www.novavista.org/  Our friend Emily was sitting in the Principal Violin II seat.  The Gershwin tunes were well done and a joy to hear live.

On Sunday, we headed to our friend Christina's house for poker and Super Bowl.  We haven't seen her or her brother Mat in years.  The first time we visited the Bay Area in 2000, we stayed at Christina's house in El Cerrito.  We were here for a Phish show at Shoreline Amphitheatre, and Christina hosted a bunch of people who met on a Phish message board.  Like so many others, we proclaimed that we wanted to move to the area STAT!  It only took us 10 years; slow and steady wins the race, right?!
